While in Wintos Window, Click TEST from Icon Tool Bar or F4. You can also select Start Test from FUNCTION at the pull down menu. Press CTRL key to abort testing.
While in Wintos Window, Select FUNCTION from the pull down menu, then click on Loop. Press CTRL key to abort testing.
At Wintos Window, select letter P at the keyboard. PRN should appeared at the bottom right corner. Now if you run the test and you have any failures, the failures will be printed at the printer. Select P again will turn off this feature and the PRN at the bottom right should disappeared.
At Wintos Window, select letter L at the keyboard. The Open Window will pop up. You need to select the directory you want to put your log file in (click on the selected directory twice). Now type in the name of your log file, then click on OPEN. Now LOG should appeared at the bottom right corner. If you run the test and you have any failures, the failures will be sent to your log file. Select L again will turn off this feature and the LOG at the bottom right should disappeared.
To edit the log file, make sure that log file is turned off. Now LOG should not be at the bottom right corner. Select Data from Wintos Window, then click on Log management. Select the correct name of your log file, by click on the file twice, or type in the name at File Name. Click on EDIT. Now you are in your log file, with brief editor. Alt X to get exit, then Y to exit without saves, W is to exit & save. N is not to exit the log file.At Wintos Window, select letter D at the keyboard. DSP should appeared at the bottom right corner. Now if you run the test and you have any failures, the failures will be printed on the screen. Select D again will turn off this feature and the DSP at the bottom right should disappeared.
Your print out to the screen and to the printer should be already set up, but for some reason you would like to change the setting, you can do the following:
NOTE: If PASS RESULTS is turned on by having a check mark next to it (in either DISPLAY or PRINTER SETTINGS) then all measurements (Passing & failing data) will be displayed on the printer or display when you run the test. Usually this feature should not be on.

Nail #’s:Click on the Scan Pin from the pull down menu (it is the icon with a white circle, next to the yellow triangle icon). Scan Pin can also be selected from FUNCTIONS at the pull down menu. This function activates the external probe for nail identification, by touching the scan pin’s probe to the nail you want to identify. The nail number will be printed on the screen. If speakers are connected to the computer a voice will announce the test point number. Measurements:Click on FUNCTIONS at the pull down menu then select Single Step. Select View at tool bar, then click on On Line Edit to see the measurement of the part. You can select Stop (to get out of the test), previous item, go to next item, go to the next failure (this will stop to view at the next failure), or go to the end. Note: When you click on (go to the next failure) and it changes from a resistor to a capacitor, you should close On Line Edit, then re-open it. This will help to get the pin numbers of the capacitor. Also short and open tests are not editable from this screen as well as diode or IC tests. |

EditAt the Pull down Menu, Click on Edit, select filename by pressing enter. This will call up the brief editor (or whichever editor is loaded under the setup menu) and load the program into it. HelpIn Brief; press Alt H for help in the editor, you can choose Quick Reference for editor hot keys (cut, paste, copy, etc.) Exit/SaveTo exit from the brief editor, press Alt X. At the bottom left of the screen, there will be a question, asking if you want to save your file. Select W to save your file. Y is to exit without saving and N or any other characters will not exit you out of the file. LimitsMax=, Min= Change argument values within Actions for #res (tests resistor), #cap (tests capacitors). Actions begin with a ‘#’ sign and end with a ‘!’ mark.
